SUPERSTOCK 1000

3 pilots on 1st row and double victory for EYBIS!

The Czech Matej SMRZ (middle) and the Frenchman Freddy FORAY (left) arranged the double for EYBIS @ Magny-Cours !

Smrz wins from Pole!

The Czech rocket Matej Smrz, was 0,8 sec faster in qualifying than all his rivals, and secured his pole that way.

Despite the fact that Matej had to start on his spare bike, from half distance of the race, he could not be stopped anymore and he made for a historic 1st Czech victory ever !

Foray on Podium!

The ever smiling Frenchman Freddy Foray got 2nd position, as well in qualifying as during the race.

He got on 1st spot several times, during an unbelievably shimmering race, but finally chose for a certified 2nd place.

Siméon takes back the lead

Xavier succeeded in France to change a 2 points arrears into a 4 points lead, which allows him to go to the last round in Portugal on 2nd november with the best testimonials for the championship.
After having battled in front during the whole race, a little mistake kept him off the podium.

Rea on Pole!

After having started from Pole, Gino Rea succeeded to decide the course of the race in front, until he got hit in the 7th lap, resulting in a near-crash. Finally he finished 6th and did not get, for the first time in 5 races, on the podium.

Lonbois almost podium!

Vincent Lonbois finished, after a roaring race, at 0,6 sec (!) of the winner in 4° place.

He ended up 0,2 seconden short to get on the podium for the 3th time this year.

With this performance, he confirmed his perfect condition that he showed already during qualifying where he stayed on provisional pole for a very long time.

After 2 years with the 600's, Vincent will probably move on to the Superstock 1000 category in 2009.
