On 18 and 19 April 2011 EYBIS was present at the legendary Le Mans circuit for a fantastic, sunny February day. Since the event was part of the European Suzuki Days serveral prominent personalities were present. Among them Freddy Foray, reigning world champion endurance and winning – the day before – the Bol d’Or 2011.

On day 2 there was an opportunity to enroll at private sessions with Freddy himself!

Furthermore, we appreciated the presence of Dominique Meliand, team manager of the Bol d’Or winning SERT (Suzuki Endurance Racing Team) who brought the winning GSX-R 1000 for the occasion and Damien Saulnier, team manager of the SUZUKI Junior team and the French SBK SUZUKI team.

Both François Etterle, commercial director of Suzuki France, and Paul Rowney, general manager sales and marketing of SUZUKI International Europe took part in our sessions on their GSX-R’s.

Last but not least: Dennis Pike, supervisor technical support of the LASER EXHAUSTS factory - a brand new EYBIS partner – witnessed and participated on the track with his Supersport machine.

Below is the video of 3 minutes we made for the occasion of this track riding festival!

Former GP-legend Simon CRAFAR – winner of the Grand Prix 500 cc of Donington in 1998 – comes to the EUROPEAN SUZUKI DAYS on 2nd and 3rd of june @ HOCKENHEIM.

Privat instruction from Simon Crafar

- Limited upto 1 rider / group / day

- Price: 200 €, to be paid in cash @ Simon in the paddock

- Reservations: mail frank@eybis.com or phone + 32 476 691 091

This is what Simon says about his instruction:

A day of on-circuit instruction with Simon Crafar

“The aim of my instruction is to make you faster but in safer and more effective style. It is not important how fast you are currently. The slower you are the more I will be able to help you with. If you are all ready at a good level I can still work to improve both lap times and safety.

After a small briefing, I will join you on circuit. I will request that you ride as you normally do to enable me to analyse what you are currently doing on track. I make a mental list of these things that I believe I can help you with. I will then get you to follow me for a few laps at a speed suitable to your current ability. At the end of the session we discuss what we have both seen and what I recommend you to try for the next session and why this will help you go faster and with more safety.

When you book one of the four places I have on each day we will ride together in 3-4 sessions on circuit. We will have a short briefing at the end of each session as described above. We will have a classroom situation together with all four of my students where I will go through ALL the important things I try to do when I am on circuit and why I do them. This is also a question answer session. If it is possible to arrange with the event organiser, we will do two laps in a car together (Lunch hour or end of the day) where I will talk through a lap first very slowly, stopping in some places to point out things I feel are important, then again without stopping and putting all these things together in a lap.

My aim is to make all my clients improve in speed, safety or both, but most importantly to finish the day smiling. I look forward to working with you.”
